ALIPAC endorses JD Hayworth of Arizona against John McCain

With much pompous buffoonery, William Gheen of ALIPAC came out with endorsements for the ultimate corrupt politician, JD Hayworth of Arizona.

During Hayworth’s previous term in the House of Representative, he benefited to the tune of $100,000.00 from from convicted swindler and lobbyist Jack Abramoff. We won’t go in to what he did to screw the native American tribes who were his clients at this time.

According to the Center for Responsive Politics, a research group in Washington that monitors the influence of money in politics, Mr. Hayworth was the largest single Congressional recipient of donations from Mr. Abramoff and his family, his associates, his Indian tribe clients and a gambling cruise ship line that he owned, with more than $101,000 going to Mr. Hayworth and his political action committee since 1999. Mr. Hayworth was also a frequent guest in sports skyboxes controlled by Mr. Abramoff and his clients, and at Signatures, a Washington restaurant owned by the lobbyist.

When asked if he would return the money, Mr. Hayworth’s chief of staff, Joe Eule, said in a statement that he did not take any of the threats seriously and that the congressman had no intention of returning the money.

Even more disquieting from a conservative philosophical point of view, Hayworth was supportive of the Bush era’s big spending — much more so than the fiscally prudent McCain.

Two things tainted the Republican brand: Corruption and spending — and Hayworth is tied to both of them.

But Willy Gheen’s single minded focus is ridding the United States of what he perceives as the “brown Menace”, and anyone who jumps on the ever popular band wagon of “Mexican bashing” is a hero in Willies book.

Willy Gheen also pledges to contribute an immiediate $1000.00 to the Hayworth campaign, with an additional $4000 by election day. Methinks the jabbering jackass lies. Looking at his FEC reports over the years, he’s never donated more than $250 to any one candidate. Actually, in 2009, out of more than $100,000.00 he deceived his naive donors and lemmings into donating, only $250.00 made it into a candidates warchest. Big spender our Willy, except where it matters.

“JD Hayworth has taken sides with the 80% of Americans who want our borders secured and our existing immigration laws enforced,” said William Gheen, president of ALIPAC. “By contrast, John McCain has clearly taken sides with the Open Borders Lobby which would wreck this nation by pursuing amnesty, instead of enforcement.

There we go with the 80% of Americans. That should read 80% of the xenophobes, bigots and nativists that respond to Gheen’s hand chosen polls. The truth is that 91% of American’s surveyed want immigration reform and a stop to all the nativist fear mongering.

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, founded on 9/11/2004, has worked extensively with the Tea Party movement by leading a coalition of over 20 groups across the nation in support of Tea Party and 9/12 events in 2010. ALIPAC also conducted Tea Parties Against Amnesty in over 50 cities last November. A recent online poll sponsored by one of the largest Tea Party groups showed 77% support for Hayworth over McCain by Tea Party activists. The ALIPAC endorsement is likely to help strengthen that coalescing support.

The truth of this statement Gheen makes in his silly little press release is that he was rejected by the mainstream teabaggers on 9/12 who stated they didn’t like his style of politics. So Gheen went ahead, and like so many others, tried to intrude and highjack the movement. His Teabaggers Protesting Amnesty in the 50 cities, produced less than 100 participants, which included the National Socialist Movement members in Phoenix, an event organized in Sneed Alabama by a convicted felon, which was denied access to the selected venue, and a staged fight in Florida, that Gheen tried to use to his advantage, and failed.

Rather than coalesce, when the “baggers” see the racist nature of Gheen’s organization, it should further fragment an already fragmented movement.
