Senate dark horse candidate Jim Deakin responded to ALIPAC President William Gheen "strong suggestion" that he drop from the race by refusing to do so. As expected, Gheen goes on the attack.
Once again, discredited ALIPAC President William Gheen is in the news. This time, trying to force political newcomer Jim Deakin, running against Arizona Senator John McCain and former Congressman JD Hayworth, whose time in Congress was marred by his association with the corruption of lobbyist Jack Abramoff, out of the race for McCain’s Senate seat.
This morning, Willy released another of his sophomoric press releases calling on Deakin to step down so Gheen’s candidate, the corrupt JD Hayworth might have a chance of besting McCain in the upcoming primaries.
“Unfortunately, Mr. Deakin’s continued candidacy has a strong chance of handing the election to John McCain, yet he has almost no significant chance of winning the race according to numerous polls and historical election models,” said “Whining”Willy Gheen of Americans for Legal Immigration.
“Mr. Deakin is either a true American patriot who wants to see real change in Washington who will help us defeat McCain, or he is someone playing the role of spoiler for DC influences that want John McCain to return to Washington.”
Gheen made other thinly veiled threats against the political newcomer in the style Willy is accustomed to, in a private letter to Deakin.
The most recent poll shows McCain with 64 percent of the vote, compared to 19 percent for Hayworth and 5 percent for Deakin.
We spoke with a representative of the Deakin campaign, who after lauging at the audacity of Gheen advised us that their candidate will not be dropping out because he’s the best candidate to beat McCain.
William Gheen is already responding to the snub by going on the attack against Mr. Deakin, as he has against Senator McCain, anti immigrant former Congressman Tom Tancredo and Senator Lindsey Graham, who he accused of being a closet homosexual at a teabilly rally back in the spring.
Whining Willy Gheen has this to say in response to Deakins refusal of his demands:
Deakin claims he is the best candidate to defeat McCain, but nobody can find any example in the history of the United States when a candidate polling as low as Deakin five weeks before the election has ever won a race in America.
Deakin’s statement is either delusional or he is witting or unwitting spoiler for John McCain.
The AP doing their job to protect all Amnesty supporters of course uses that bogus poll that just came out that is off base from all the other polls showing JD within striking range of McCain.
Willy Gheen is delusional if he thinks his little organization can have any effect on an election outside of the state of North Carolina.
