ALIPAC’s William Gheen fails again, blames E-Bay, Google

Lunatic Fringe on October 20th, 2009 2 Comments

ALIPAC’s William Gheen thinks the disgusting “illegal alien costume is cool”, so cool in fact he hurried to order one to sell on ebay, amongst much fanfare and “press releases” which many of the recipients delete without reading.

Problem is, E-Bay has rules, Terms of Service that Willy boy didn’t bother to read when he quickly opened an account to profit from the hatred he foments.

And to further boost the price on this item on e-bay;

Monday Oct 19 (11am EST): ALIPAC Sends Out Updated Press Release to over 100,000 American press contacts pointing out that the illegal alien costume has quickly sold out in all venues and is trading for a high price on Ebay

We seriously doubt Willy has 100,000 press contacts, but let the boy dream.

That’s right folks, Willy listed merchandise for sale he didn’t have in his possession, his first violation. 13 hours after making the listing, after 20 or so bids that raised the price to above $108.00, with the reserve still not met, Ebay pulls the listing and sends Willy this notice.

MC036 eBay Listing Removed: Hateful or Discriminatory (336282562)

Dear alipacwilliam (williamg@alipac.us),

You recently listed the following listing:

170396385534 – illegal alien Halloween costume controversial

Unfortunately, we had to remove your listing because the following information violates our policy:

eBay has made the decision to prohibit the listing of the illegal alien costumes as they may be offensive to some members. Please do not relist this item.

We don’t allow listings that promote or endorse discrimination against any individuals or groups on eBay…..

You may need to take a tutorial. The next time you sell, you may be asked to take the tutorial, if it’s required. Once you’ve completed the tutorial successfully, please review your account status for any other possible concerns. If there are no other issues, you should be able to sell again.

Please note: violation of this or other eBay policies may result in forfeit of eBay fees on canceled listings, limits on account privileges and account suspension.

Poor Willy. Failed again to humiliate the Hispanic population and line his pockets at the same time. He claimed he would donate the proceeds to ALIPAC, but then, ALIPAC is Willy and Willy is ALIPAC.

FAILURE ONCE AGAIN TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS ACTIONS

As usual, with Willy and others in the anti-immigration, anti-Mexican movement, Willy refuses to take responsibility for his actions, instead trying to blame E-Bay, Google and several online wholesalers of censoring freedom of speech.

Freedom of speech is one thing but it has it’s limits. You can’t yell “FIRE” in a crowded theater and later claim 1st amendment rights after causing mass pandemonium. Gheen and others hate speech falls under this catagory. Spreading his hysteria, paranoia and hatred for Mexicans. without regard to status, is pure hate.

PRO MIGRANT COMMUNITY STEPS UP TO THE PLATE
Within moments of learning of Willy’s capitalistic endeavor, supporters of this site were in full swing. And for that we give our heartfelt thanks. Complaints to E-Bay resulted in the listing being pulled “pending review”, and the decision was swift and direct. The costume Willy was selling was deemed “Hateful or Discriminatory” and pulled.

Other online vendors were contacted and suddenly, the costume was “out of stock”, unavailable” or “sold out”. Read between the lines on that one. Most online stores under these conditions will continue to sell as “back ordered”.

And once again, thanks to the hundreds of you that came forward and helped us derail Willy’s plan. It shows the power of our movement against the bigots and haters who see their base slipping from them as people educate themselves on the issues and think for themselves, instead of allowing people like Whining Willy Gheen to think for them.

No fair! You guys were so fast that I didn’t get to participate, because I saw the email saying the suit had been taken down before I got the link for the complaints line.

Really great work, compas! I’m proud of y’all. Keep it up! Recycle that astroturf.
