ALIPAC’s William Gheen kicked to the curb again

Looks as if ALIPAC President William Gheen’s plans for a hate filled weekend in Phoenix have been canceled according to the latest “press release” from his group.

In this rambling missive, Gheen tries to take the high road to disassociate himself and his organization from the hatred and presence of avowed racists such as Tom Tancredo, Jeff Schwilk and DAN SMERIGLIO Notice one things all of these folks have in common is they are friends, former friends or heroes of Gheen’s. Like Lou Dobbs was and then he wasn’t. Like Jim Gilchrist was and now isn’t. Gheen seems to have a problem hanging on to friends.

My friend and colleague, Dee Perez-Scott, has the whole scoop on her blog concerning Willy the Whales latest attempt to rationalize his rejection by the extremist hate groups and individuals he embraces and tries to emulate.

I think it goes a little deeper than this though. According to Diggers Realm it’s a fight over who is in control of the gathering, slated for either June 5 or June 12, another point of contention.

As usual, as he has done in the past, it would appear ALIPAC and William Gheen are trying to highjack the event and take credit for it’s success, if there is one, and point the finger of blame elsewhere, if the event is a failure. Typical Gheen.

Now, Digger, one of Gheens former friends is telling all his followers to BOYCOTT ALIPAC. How cool is that? Could we be seeing a further implosion of the right wing whackos?
