No_ALIPAC_logoWilliam Gheen of the anti-Hispanic hate group ALIPAC.us, has announced “spread the hate” rallies in more than 50 cities nationwide tomorrow, November 14.

Calling them “Tea Parties Against Amnesty”, Gheen is trying to protest mythical “amnesty” legislation, that has not been filed.

Gheen’s “tea parties” are an attempt to highjack the original concept of protests created by FreedomWorks chairman Dick Armey.

Gheen was asked to stay away from the original “Tea Parties” in Washington DC earlier this year, a snub he blustered about and rationalized, could not be fit into his busy schedule on such short notice.

Since the dubious success of FreedomWorks chairman Dick Armey’s Tea Parties, Gheen has been trying his best to push his anti-Mexican agenda into the original concept of the Tea Parties.

However, FreedomWorks chairman Dick Armey takes a more political savvy approach to immigration reform. Far from being called “pro-migrant”, Armey shows a willingness to compromise and debate the issue on it’s merits.

In an article last weekend, the New York Times wrote:

He [Armey]also has a more liberal view of immigration than many in his party. “Reagan went to Berlin and said, ‘Tear down this wall,’ ” Armey said. “We went to San Diego and said, ‘Build a fence.’ It was just stupid. You have Hispanics saying, ‘I’m not going to vote for those guys because they don’t like me.’

While Gheen places the blame on all of America’s problems on the backs of Hispanic illegals, demonizing and entire nationality when one commits a crime, and who supports the “birther” movement, and never misses a chance to disrespect our President, Armey has long been opposed to anti-immigrant fear mongering, stating:

More and more these days, immigrants are being viewed as if they were the source of America’s problems. It seems the old Malthusian notion that people are a drain is making one of its regular revivals…

Anti-immigration has always been ironic, because throughout our history newcomers have been a source of strength, not weakness. America still attracts the world’s best talent. And surely that is no liability. Think of it. We can avail ourselves of much of the world’s intellectual wealth simply by opening our doors…The impulse to limit immigration is really a manifestation of the protectionist impulse. And it’s misguided.

Andrea Nill of THE WONK ROOM, points out that Armey takes a dim view of former colleague and one of Gheen’s heroes, Tom Tancredo.

THE WONK ROOM tells us that during the 2006 immigration debate, Armey referred to anti-immigrant xenophobe, former Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO), as the “cheerleader of jerkiness in the immigration debate.” Armey has proposed privatizing the US immigration system to allow in immigrants who love liberty and are willing to obey the law.

Aurora Grajeda of the HISPANIC/LATINO ANTI-DEFAMATION COALITION OF SF had this to say about Gheen’s efforts:

“On their shameful actions against a National Health Plan during Town Hall Meetings, there weren’t many demonstrations to counter-protest these extremists’ misleading statements and outright lies, the same thing must not happen now, not again, WE MUST BE THERE TO COUNTERACT THEIR HATEFUL LIES” — Aurora Grajeda (HLADC-SF)

Gheen has countered as labeling the HLADC-SF as a “latino hate group”, as he does anyone who opposed his bigoted point of view, and called for ICE to be present to deport these American Citizens.

Gheen’s attempts to trample First Amendment protections

William Gheen, who strongly supports the tenets of the First Amendment Freedom of Speech, as long as it is his freedom he advocates, has publicly stated his intention to stifle those that may counter protest his actions this weekend.

In several press releases, the latest to media outlets, who view Gheen and his organization a part of the lunatic fringe, Gheen stated:

Any members of racist groups like MS-13, The Brown Berets, KKK, Aztlan Separatists, Neo Nazis, National Council of La Raza, MALDEF, LULAC, or Media Matters will be removed from our protest locations by police if detected.

What hypocrisy, but not surprising from a narcissistic buffoon who claims success in:

Revealing the Honorable Justice Sonia Sotomayors rascist connections: A LIE

Attempting to overturn Justice Sotomayors nomination, and delay her confirmation: HE FAILED

And the list goes on about William Gheen’s record of abject failures. This weekend of Tea Parties Against Amnesty may well prove to be William Gheen’s biggest failure and moment of public humiliation.

So far, mainstream media outlets have refused to give Gheen and his organization any recognition of the weekends activities.
