Appointed Governor Jan “La Bruja” Brewer retracts “beheading” claim, well, sort of.

After mumbling and stumbling and walking away from reporters questions about her claims of beheadings in Arizona by drug cartels, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has admitted, that maybe, she was wrong.

“That was an error, if I said that,” the appointed Governor told The Associated Press and others on Friday. “I misspoke, but you know, let me be clear, I am concerned about the border region because it continues to be reported in Mexico that there’s a lot of violence going on and we don’t want that going into Arizona.

If she said that? Is there any doubt? A better statement would have been to admit that she, like other hillbilly nativists in Arizona are using fear mongering and fabrications to advance their political careers and agendas and then fade quietly into the background. But of course, that ain’t gonna happen.

Brewer made the comment during a June 16 interview with Fox News and backed it up later in a June 27 interview on Phoenix television station KPNX.

State Senator Russell Pearce, friend of Neo Nazi border vigilante JT Ready and other white trash pseudo patriots wasn’t backing down. The sleazebag behind the controversial and enjoined law SB-1070 defended Brewer.

“I can tell you there’s been 300 to 500 beheadings and dismemberments along that border,” state Sen. Russell Pearce said Thursday. “It is a national security concern, yet we’re worried about this game-playing, this word-smithing.”

All this despite the fact that crime in Arizona and the metro areas has been static for a number of years now and that border crossings in Arizona are at an all time low.
