Fifteen Texas cities, including Fort Worth, are listed as “sanctuary cities” on www.sanctuarycities.info. The criteria for inclusion apparently can be as simple as a photo that shows “illegals standing in front of a city EMS station” with a police department building in the background. Amazing how adept some folks are at identifying others’ immigration status by looking at them.
Dear Mr. Santa Claus, This is an open letter from William Gheen, president of the Americans for Legal Immigration Political Action Committee, Jim Gilchrist founder of The Minuteman Project, Peter Brimelow, founder of VDARE, Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, Roy Beck, executive director of NumbersUSA, Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity,Bill O’Reilly, Pat Buchanan, the members of the House Immigration Reform Caucus, and most Republicans, along with some Democrats, in the U.S. Senate. We have just received word from the North Pole that you have been delivering presents to the United States all of these years without adhering to the proper legal immigration procedures. We ask you, Mr. Claus, the same question we ask of all illegal aliens in America, “What part MORE

We’re being deluged by the right wing whackos who have this untenable dream of a white America, and who continue to daily, put out sophomoric press releases claiming it will legalize millions, lead to immediate influx of voters and other equally stupid fantasies. What does the DREAM ACT as written and passed in the House of Representatives really provide? Forget what ALIPAC and NUMBERSUSA are trying to trick you into believing. This is what the DREAM ACT is about:
DREAM ACT ain’t dead yet
Thanks to Senator Harry Reid’s tabling of the Senate version of the DREAM ACT, it ain’t dead yet. Use this weekend and Monday to register your opinion on the DREAM ACT 866-996-5161
A hotly debated measure that offers a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants who came to the United States as children won approval Wednesday from the U.S. House. The 216-198 vote, mostly on partisan lines, sends the DREAM Act to the Senate, where it remains uncertain if proponents have the votes to overcome a threatened Republican filibuster against it. The Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act — or DREAM — would create a path to citizenship for immigrants who were brought to the United States illegally as children under the age of 16 by their parents, and have lived in America for at least five years, obtained a high school or General Education Development diploma and demonstrated “good MORE
Arellano – Tancredo Debate in Denver
After years of effort on the part of the magnificent Patty Calhoun, editor of Westword, “Ask a Mexican” columnist and OC Weekly managing editor Gustavo Arellano debated nativist know nothing Tom Tancredo, at Su Teatro in Denver, Colorado last night, on the issue of immigration. They met, they talked, voices were occasionally raised, Tancredo said “crap,” and what follows are a few other points of discussion and highlights. Arellano projected what’s best about our side of the immigration issue as he met Tancredo’s canned talking points head on. Unfortunately, he allowed Tancredo to change the subject when the DREAM ACT came up, but overall, Gustavo was the hands down winner. Here’s some commentary on the debate.
Another humiliating loss for ALIPAC’s William Gheen
After days of exhorting his handful of followers to protest what he calls a “worthless and illegal piece of paper”, ALIPAC’s William Gheen suffered yet another humiliating defeat as the Durham (NC) City Council voted on Monday to recognize the Mexican Matricula Consular as official identification of persons legal and illegal and to allow police to accept the identification as legal ID. The resolution, which passed 5-2, cited IDs like the Matricula Consular.
An historic signing on immigration reform took place Thursday in the Utah State Capitol courtyard. Representatives from corporations and businesses, state and city governments, community organizations and faiths stepped forward to lend support to what’s titled “The Utah Compact.” They’ve been working for several months to draft a statement to influence the tone of the discussion on the immigration issue. This is further proof emerging to the the fact that more Americans support a rational discussion on the issue of immigration reform than those who advocate a draconian agenda of family separation and wholesale deportations. The UTAH COMPACT, which should be the cornerstone of principles of national debate on the contentious issue of immigration reform states: THE UTAH COMPACT
Just as guest speaker Jim Gilchrist derided critics who call him a “racial supremacist,” the clowns came marching in. Two dozen rubber-nosed, rainbow-wigged clowns disrupted Friday’s State House rally in support of an Arizona-style, bipartisan immigration bill being cosponsored by state Representatives Peter G. Palumbo and Joseph A. Trillo. Gilchrist, co-founder of The Minuteman Project, a “national citizens’ vigilante group” at the U.S.-Mexico border spoke first at the rally sponsored by his group and Rhode Islanders for Immigration Law Enforcement.
