She’s a joke and an embarrassment to the great State of Arizona. Jan Brewer, Arizona’s GED bearing governor greeted President Barack  Obama on the tarmac of  the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport with in your face anger and finger pointing in front of the assemblage of local mayors and other dignitaries. Looking like she was dressed for an afternoon at a local bar, Brewer tried to give the President a personal letter inviting him to take a tour of the border and to discuss Arizona’s mythical crime and illegal immigrant invasion. You have to love the GOP and their apparent standard-bearer for 2012, Mitt Romney. Apparently he thinks that pandering to the nativist and White Nationalist in this country will give him the votes he needs to defeat President Obama in November. Folks, you did it! Late Wednesday night, the Texas Senate soundly rejected HB 12, a bill to ban non-existent sanctuary cities. Sold by proponents as a bill to eliminate “sanctuary cities,” HB 12 would have had catastrophic consequences on the state of Texas. Similar to Arizona’s draconian SB 1070, the bill would have prevented local police departments from keeping Texas cities and neighborhoods safe by requiring them to enforce federal immigration laws.
