Hoaxter, Tea Partier and Minuteman groupie Kimberly Dvorak speaking at event in San Diego earlier this year

Kimberly Dvorak, Tea Party member, Minuteman groupie and apparent pathological liar, can’t seem to admit she’s been caught in the lie of her making concerning the hoax of Los Zetas taking over Laredo Texas area ranches by force.

July 24, a quiet Saturday afternoon when the story was published that members of Los Zetas, a notorious para-military group of cartel enforcers had taken over a couple of ranches in the Laredo Texas area. The story quickly went viral and just as quickly, suspicions arose about the voracity of the story and sources or lack of sources quoted.

Fortunately or perhaps unfortunately for Kimberly Dvorak, this writer was in Laredo Texas the weekend in question and Immigration Clearinghouse took the lead in thoroughly debunking the Los Zetas hoax.

For more than two weeks, Kimberly Dvorak has been silent, refusing to reveal her sources while standing by her ludicrous claims.

False "Police Blotter" Dvorak

Alleged screenshot of "Laredo Sheriff Office" police blotter, replete with mispelled words and other evidence of Kimberly Dvoraks fraud

Today, she came out with her alleged “proof”. The proof consists of an alleged photo of the Laredo Police blotter. This also, is proving to be fake. In short, Kimberly Dvorak and Examiner.com refuse to acknowledge the hoax and continue to insist the event occurred despite irrefutable evidence to the contrary.

Kimberly Dvorak’s latest journal of lies, has been titled Rancher claims Mexican cartels takeover Texas ranch -Police blotter confirms story is not a hoax

Dvorak accompanies the article with a “screenshot” of the alleged “police blotter”. However, we contend it too is a fake, a hoax by this lying bimbo who hasn’t the scruples to admit her mistake and move on.

This is the bullshit Dvorak expects us to fall for this time:

“On Friday 7-23-10 Laredo Webb informed that their county SWAT Team is conducting an operation in the Mines Rd. area. According to LT. Garcia with LSO (Laredo Sheriff Office) received a call from a ranch owner stating that the Zetas had taken over his ranch. As per the 17 (reporting person) he informed them that they stated La Compania (area name for Zetas) was taking the ranch and no one was permitted on the ranch without permission. SO (Sheriff Office) will have an unmarked green Ford Taurus with two officers stationed at Los Compadres and a white Chevy Tahoe with two officers stationed at Mineral Rd. The LSO (Laredo Sheriff Office) will maintain surveillance in the area and advise if action is taken. Susp (suspect) Veh (vehicle) are described as a gray or silver Audi, a BLK (black) Escalade or Navigator and a van truck with a logo of a car wash spot free on the side. Border Patrol also has their response team on scene. Also known info of BMW’s and Corvettes entering and leaving the area. Auth LT Lichtenberger if assistance is requested LPD (Laredo Police Department) will secure the outer perimeter. (07/24/10 07:42:10 NR1873)”

Here’s the problem with this, (other than the obvious misspelled words within the screenshot)

  1. The agency with jurisdiction outside of the city limits is Webb County Sheriffs Office. Martin Cuellar is the elected sheriff.
  2. A “blotter would not have type and colors of vehicles. They would be identified by their call signs and deputies responding would know types of vehicles used.
  3. Again, Laredo Sheriff’s office? Does not exist.
  4. Cartel members including Los Zetas, favor Ford Lobo, Ford King Ranch and similar pickup trucks. Not vettes and BMW’s.
  5. Laredo Police Department would not secure perimeter because area in question is more than 10 miles outside city limits and jurisdiction of city PD.

Dvorak goes on to “quote” an alleged retired ICE Agent John Sakelarides, who was alleged quoted as saying;

“What do you call an invasion by foreign nationals who are armed and occupy territory belonging to a sovereign nation? An act of war. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it’s a duck. Anyone who is denying this is what has occurred and that it constitutes an act of war is either an idiot or is somehow involved in this act of war.”

“If they (those covering-up the story) are elected representatives or government officials and they are aware that an act of war has been perpetrated against the United States, and refuse to admit it has occurred, much less do anything about it, is violating their oath of office.”

Interestingly enough, that sounds eerily like what Dvorak claimed in her original article. Does this retired ICE Agent John Sakelarides even exist?

Dvorak ends her fabricated article with this statement;

A media firestorm ensued after this reporter posted a story on Saturday July 24, 2010. Now that the story is corroborated, it will be up to local media to track down what events took place after the Zetas seized a U.S ranch.

The local media and hundreds of websites with this one taking the lead have already tracked down the non event that did not occur on July 23-25. This story remains a pitiful hoax by a pathetic creature working in concert with San Diego Minuteman Jeff Schwilk in order to flame the passion and fears of Texans so they will be more accepting of an Arizona style law being introduced into the great state of Texas to deal with a problem that does not exist.

Dan “Digger” Amato & “Diggers Realm” continue to perpetrate the hoax

Digger Dan Amato continues to insist this story is true, despite, like Dvorak, being more than 1500 miles distance from Laredo Texas and the Mexican border, and knowing absolutely nothing of what really occurs along the Texas border, other than the sensationalized stories the MSM publishes and the spin the anti immigrant factions but on happenings along the Texas/Mexico border.

Now, Amato takes it into the realm of WND/Art Bell conspiracy scenarios, and even has a name for it, “LAREDOGATE” (Incredibly lame)

Of course, in the feeble mind of Dan Amato and his followers, this all can be traced back to one man, one woman and one event.

President Obama, DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano and SB-1070.

A more logical explanation

Jim Kelly, who write a column for the Tucson Citizen and broke the original story with us, has a more plausible explanation for what may or may not have occurred.

In an update to the original story, Jim posted this explanation:

UPDATE August 6, 2010

It is interesting to note that my conversations with reporters in Laredo and residents in Laredo have said that what occurred was a disagreement where by someone took a shot at someone elese.

I have never been able to verify the names of the individuals involved or the specific ranches that were involved.

The crux of the story is this, on July 16 in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, directly across the Rio Grande from Laredo Texas, two rival drug gangs one of which is connected to Los Zetas carried on a two hour gun battle with each other first then the Mexican Federales. The Federales won.

Over the last few years, members of Los Zetas have been buying ranch property along the border on the US side. A few, ( sources say two or three) Zetas who had been in the gun battle on July 16 and not killed, made their way to the US side loking for sanctuary at a safe ranch in Laredo.

On the evening of the 17th of July, Friday night, a disturbance occured involving firearms on that property that those individuals were present. Laredo PD and Webb County Sheriffs Office responded to a shots fired incident and did what they would normally do, block roads and set up a strike team in case of escalation.

The residents of the ranches responded in a defensive manner and the argument between the Nuevo Laredo gunmen and the owner of the ranch then became a standoff between all of them against all of Laredo Law Enforcement.

Negotiations calmed everbody down. A few officers then in anger over not being able to enforce the law due to he lack of resources for Laredo and Webb County leaked the story.

It became a very political situation and now people are scrambling to figure out how to mae it pay of for their respective political positions.

So bottom line, not an invasion but a situation where Texas Law Enforcement felt it was out gunned on a ranch in Laredo TX.

That is the story as I know it from my investigation.

A bit more than what we found out from our sources in Laredo and people we know in law enforcement in Laredo.

I would also have my doubts that Los Zetas could cross into Laredo from Nuevo Laredo after the described gun battles as the bridges were closed for a time and when reopened, Customs agents, backed up by Laredo PD were on heightened alert.

But Jims description of events does prove several things, perhaps most important, that the screenshot of the alleged “Police Blotter” is a fake, a fraud.

Jim claims these events occurred on July 17th, after the Nuevo Laredo gunbattles that occurred on the 16th, part of which happened one block over from my palatial estate in Nuevo Laredo.

Look at the bottom line of the “police blotter”. The date is 07/24/10 and the hour, 07:42. For those who need help with that. 07:42 is when Mickey’s right foot points to the “7″ and his right hand points towards the “9″. Entiendi?

Conservative Blogs continue to debunk this story
The US BORDER WATCH section of the TEXAS GOP VOTE BLOG calls into question the veracity of this event, and like us, and others, has determined it is total bullshit. Fearmongering by extremist elements of the right. Here’s what Bob Price has to say about his investigation of the event.

The US Border Watch investigation continues into the story, or non-story about the alleged takeover of two Laredo area ranches. To this point, all direct confirmations indicate the story did not happen. We still have a couple of loose ends to tie up and hope to do that soon.

The real story is, why is this a story and more importantly, why is it a believable story? The reason it is believable: The American people have lost faith in the government to secure our country from attack. Even though this story appears to be false, it is VERY believable.

Here is what does appear to be true at this time. It does appear there was a call to the Webb County Sheriff’s Office for some reported trouble that the sheriff’s department responded to. I have not been able to talk to the Sheriff’s Office about the details of that call. It appears the response to the call was a brief investigation by US Border Patrol and the Webb County Sheriff’s Office. Most likely the Texas DPS as well. The result of the investigation is that nothing was wrong. Perhaps the call was in response to gunfire being heard from across the river. I have not yet been able to confirm this.

We have been invited to come check this out for ourselves by the Laredo Police Department. They told us they would welcome our visit and show us whatever we need to see. Arrangements for this trip are ongoing at this time.

As more information develops, I will keep you posted as promised……………………………………………
I just spoke with one of the ranchers who had been identified as being a victim in this story. Mr. Hector Farias of Laredo, spoke with me on the phone this morning about this matter. He told me the first he heard of this story was when he was contacted by the FBI. He has owned this ranch for over 30 years and has never had a problem on his ranch regarding illegal immigration or smuggling. He stated he was at his ranch over the weekend and everything was fine there and in the entire area. The story on the internet states that he was confronted by drug cartels. He said this is not true. There is no reason not to take him at his word.
