Justice delayed is justice denied for Brisenia Flores

It appears that Minuteman Shawna Forde and her co-defendants won’t be held accountable anytime soon for their actions on the night of May 30, if their defense lawyers have their way about it.

In Pima County Superior Court Tuesday, attorneys for Minuteman Shawna Forde, 41, Albert Robert Gaxiola, 42, and Jason Eugene Bush, 35, told Judge John Leonardo that they believe the facts of the case necessitate separate trials.

Bush and Gaxiola were brought before Leonardo to discuss possible trial dates; Forde refused to be brought to court from the Pima County jail.

Judge Leonardo scheduled a Nov. 23 court date to discuss severing the cases. He also indicated that if the cases are separated, the first trial would likely be scheduled for January 2011.

Prosecutor Rick Unklesbay told the judge that he had given the defense attorneys almost all the evidence in the case, although he is still awaiting FBI and lab reports.

Justice delayed is justice denied! We’ll be seeing more of this maneuvering in the coming months unfortunately.

    Actually, I don't have a "side". I see hate and racism and injustice displayed on both "sides". I don't believe that two wrongs make a right. I think that hateful, vengeful rhetoric from both "sides" inflames emotions and generates even more hate and vengeance...on both "sides". I think a little restraint would serve both "sides" very well.

    There just may be more to the story than you know. If you truly cared about justice and not just your own hateful agenda, you wouldn't be in such a hurry to hang someone without hearing all the facts. Karma is a faithful keeper of records. You will receive what you wish on another.

    In most cases I would agree, but not in this one,

    This site was the first to raise questions about her alleged rape and the faked photos she posted. Questions that went viral across the www.

    We were proven right.

    We also questioned her involvement in her husbands shooting as well as her own, and apparently Everett PD and others are in agreement since their investigation is going in that direction.

    People have gone to death row on much less evidence than Pima County has against Forde.

    Her mouth more than anything proves the point. That is strong circumstantial evidence. Add to that her whereabouts which have been confirmed via her cell phone records, perhaps you see my point.

    We don't have a "hateful" agenda here. To the contrary, we are fighting those who have an agenda of hate against Hispanics and others. But then your side would deny their is such an agenda of hate, wouldn't you, as the deaths and human and civil rights violations continue.

    I really don't get why they are taking so long to bring them in court. Just do a public hanging now and save the taxpayers money.

    This is ridiculous! Unbelievable how the justice system works. It's funny how they use the phrase "innocent until proven guilty" when they didn't practice that with all of the people they detained and harassed at the border.

    I hope Gina, her oldest daughter and family are doing ok, my thoughts and prayers have been and will be with them. It must be so hard for her to see these people manipulating the system in an attempt to worm their way out of this.
