The fringe anti-immigration group ALIPAC is back at it this week. Their President, William Gheen, went on Fox News recently to claim that the Dream Act was a “political teddy bear with a hand grenade in it.” Wow. As usual, extreme groups are making extreme statements with little basis in reality. Interesting happenings this week in the world of loony toons: MCCI & BPAUX facing eviction, investigation of weapons trafficking? First, from our friend at ITMA, one of her confidential sources identified only as “Minuteman X” has reported that Ken Dreger and his BPAUX MCCI Minutemen border vigilante organizaton are on the verge of being evicted from their Camp Vigilance in San Diego County and are attempting to move their whole money making scam operation to Arizona because they feel they can generate more donations there with current anti-immigrant sympathies running so strong.

After yesterday’s meltdown by ALIPAC’s discredited president William Gheen, who made outrageous and unfounded accusations against the publisher of this website and tried without success to make them go viral, we woke up this morning to survey the fallout of his attempts to discredit this organization. Once more Mr. Gheen, you have failed miserably in your attempts to libel and defame an opponent. So what was the results of Gheen’s immature and outrageous smear campaign?

The stress of opposing passage of the DREAM ACT through lies, misinformation and the demonization of kids brought to this country as children has finally gotten the best of the discredited President of ALIPAC, William Gheen. Now, he seems to be seeing boogeymen behind every bush and the whole worlds out to get him. If that isn’t bad enough, he chooses to libel those of us advocating for passage of the DREAM ACT and Immigration reform, the actions of a loser who is about to see his whole house of cards tumble around him. Gheen issued a ridiculous and sophomoric press release this morning where made these moronic claims:

Another humiliating loss for ALIPAC's William Gheen

After days of exhorting his handful of followers to protest what he calls a “worthless and illegal piece of paper”, ALIPAC’s William Gheen suffered yet another humiliating defeat as the Durham (NC) City Council voted on Monday to recognize the Mexican Matricula Consular as official identification of persons legal and illegal and to allow police to accept the identification as legal ID. The resolution, which passed 5-2, cited IDs like the Matricula Consular.

The elections are over for most of us, and what is, is. Like it or not, we have to deal with it for the next couple of years. But for some of us, the results of Tuesday night are not enough. Friends, My instincts are screaming loudly tonight. I know we are all supposed to be dancing in jubilation that the GOP picked up 60 seats and a large volume of state legislative races, but something feels very very wrong. With each hour that passes, my instincts tell me that there is something very wrong in NV, CO, WA, and Alaska.

No real surprises in the election numbers last night. Democrats hold the Senate, Repubs get a majority in the House. Two of the three tea baggers running, Sharon Angle and Christine O’Donnell, knocked out of the race with ease. In Alaska, it appears that the third, the thuggish Joe Miller, will be defeated by Senator Lisa Murkowski, who ran as a write in on the ballot. At the moment, the winners in the House are beating their chests and talking about a new day in Washington. About “taking back the country”. From who or what, who knows or cares.
