Gaxiola escapes the death penalty for murdering 9 year old Brisenia Flores & father Raul

After a jury earlier could not decide on the appropriate punishment for Albert Gaxiola for the murder of 9 year old Brisenia Flores in May of 2009, Judge John S. Leonardo, during a hearing Friday, granted a prosecution motion withdrawing the death notice during a hearing Friday morning. Deputy County Attorney Rick Unklesbay told Leonardo that the Homicide Panel in his office has reviewed all the pros and cons of continuing to seek the death penalty for Brisenias murder, and with the full understanding and support of victim and mother Gina Gonzalez, the prosecution was taking the death penalty off the table. Convicted murderer Shawna Forde speaks for first time since arrest

Award winning journalist and Arizona based author Terry Greene Sterling scored an exclusive interview with convicted murderer Shawna Forde, hours after she was found guilt of the murder of 9 year Brisenia Flores, her father Raul and the attempted murder of Gina Gonzalez. Speaking to Forde via a videophone at the Pima County Adult Detention Center, Forde continued to maintain her innocence, despite the findings of a jury of 12 of her peers. Wearing glasses, no makeup, and black-and-white striped uniform of a convict, Forde told Sterling that she was “extremely saddened” by the verdict,, but took it “like a pro”, because she could not allow herself to “freak out” in public in front of her legions of supporters.

The final defense witness in what has been a very bizarre non defense in the case of Minuteman Shawna Forde murder trial is on the stand this morning. University of Washington experimental psychologist Geoffrey Loftus, a “witness for hire” is on the stand this morning trying to confuse the jury and debunk Gina Gonzalez, wife and mother of the victims identification of Shawna Forde as the short, fat, mean, blonde woman who was in charge of the home invasion crew that murdered her 9 year old daughter Brisenia Flores and her husband Raul. Day 6 - Shawna Forde Murder Trail - Final Prosecution witnesses presented before State rests case

The final day of testimony in the Shawna Forde murder trial before the State rests it case and the defense attorneys begins their rebuttal, was filled with testimony of detectives who caught the case. Pima County Sheriff’s Department Det. Charles Garcia told jurors of his initial contact and interviews with victim Gina Gonzalez including the photo lineup of six suspects, Forde among them. Garcia stated Gonzalez seemed fixated on the photo of Forde. Det. Christopher Hogan testified he was on stakeout duty of a motel in Tucson where Forde had been staying and recounted seeing Forde and Gaxiola together at the motel on June 10, ten days after the murders in Arivaca

Testimony continued to move along today with the defense cross examining the widow of Raul Flores and mother of 9 year old Brisenia Flores in Minuteman Shawna Forde’s capital murder trial. Perhaps the highlight of the day was when prosecutors announced to the Court that their investigators had found Jason Bush’s girlfriend, Melinda Shelton and were going to have her testify. The stunned defense attorney Eric Larsen immediately objected saying they needed time to interview her and investigate her story. (another defense ploy to delay the trial) Prosecutor Rick Unklesbay replied Larsen shouldn’t be surprised because Shelton has always been listed on the witness list and had in fact, been scheduled to testify today. I ought to change the title of this post, and I probably will. The upcoming trial of accused Minuteman child killer got off to an unexpected start Thrusday afternoon during a final status conference before Judge John Leonardo. Defense attorney’s were given FBI documents under discovery that suggested there was information floating around about the alleged 4th man in the murder of 9 year old Brisenia Flore and her father Raul. This having come from one of the FBI informants, (read that Colorado Minutemen) who snitched Forde out to the Feebles.

Forde Trial begins with questionnaire for prospective jurors

The circus that will be the trial for accused Minuteman child killer Shawna Forde begin this morning barely noticed as 225 prospective jurors showed up at the Pima County Courthouse in Tucson Arizona. The prospective jurors were given an 18 page questionnaire to fill out for the attorneys and those who aren’t immediately dismissed, based on their answers, will return to court on January 11 to answer further questions face to face. Minuteman Child Killer Shawna Forde hospitalized?

Interesting haps coming out of Pima County concerning Minuteman child murderer Shawna Forde whom we haven’t heard much of lately. According to Laine Lawless, Fordes tireless supporter and spinmeister on the website Justice for Shawna Forde, Forde is committed to the jails hospital unit for “causes unknown” In her statement, Lawless confirms Fordes connection with the Minutemen, (Minuteman Down at Jail Hospital!) something the border vigilante groups continue to deny.
