Clowns interrupt clowns in Rhode Island Assembly

Just as guest speaker Jim Gilchrist derided critics who call him a “racial supremacist,” the clowns came marching in. Two dozen rubber-nosed, rainbow-wigged clowns disrupted Friday’s State House rally in support of an Arizona-style, bipartisan immigration bill being cosponsored by state Representatives Peter G. Palumbo and Joseph A. Trillo. Gilchrist, co-founder of The Minuteman Project, a “national citizens’ vigilante group” at the U.S.-Mexico border spoke first at the rally sponsored by his group and Rhode Islanders for Immigration Law Enforcement.

Minuteman child killer Shawna Forde makes surprise Court appearance

So surprising was Minuteman Shawna Fordes first live appearance in Court to face charges she directed the murders of Brisenia Flores and her father Raul in Arivaca Az on May 30, 2009, that there were no cameras in the courtroom to record the momentous event. According to reporters covering the Court, Forde, who’s gone from bottle blonde to brunette, appeared in a stunning outfit of black and white alternating horizontal stripes covering a rather blase’ orange jumpsuit. Forde was in Court to watch her lawyer, Eric Larsen lose a Motion in Limine, specifically, the motion filed last week to exclude the testimony of two Colorado Minutemen and FBI informants whom Forde met with in Colorado trying to recruit them for MORE

Minutemen worked hand in hand with drug gang in Arivaca murders

Up until now, it has been thought that the sole motive for the murders of 9 year old Brisenia Flores and her father Raul was to enable accused Minuteman child killer Shawna Forde to be able to fund her border vigilante group Minuteman American Defense, with the proceeds from the botched home invasion robbery in Arivaca Aizona. But another possible motive was revealed in Judge John Leonardo’s court last week, in a document filed by the prosecution on September 20. The document reads;

Lawyers for Minuteman Shawna Forde file motions to exclude "prejudicial evidence"

Eric Larsen, attorney for Minuteman and accused child killer Shawna Forde was back in court last week with another handful of motions, this time, trying to preclude the statements of two Colorado Minutemen and FBI informants from being used in her January 2011 trial. The still unidentified Minutemen told the FBI that Forde met with them in Colorado a couple of months prior to the murders in Arivaca to discuss her plans and need for the proceeds to fund her border vigilante Minuteman group. Forde tried to recruit the two to help her, but fortunately for them, they refused and contacted authorities. Larsen, in filing his motion, said the men’s statements should be precluded for the following reasons:

THE FENCE (LA BARDA) - An HBO documentary examines the controversial border fence

In Oct. 2006, the U.S. government decided to build a 700-mile fence along its troubled 2000-mile-plus border with Mexico. Three years, 19 construction companies, 350 engineers, thousands of construction workers, tens of thousands of tons of metal and $3 billion later, was it all worth it? THE FENCE (LA BARDA), Rory Kennedy’s latest HBO documentary, investigates the impact of the project, revealing how its stated goals – containing illegal immigration, cracking down on drug trafficking and protecting America from terrorists – have given way to unforeseen, even absurd consequences when it debuts THURSDAY, SEPT. 16 (8:00-8:45 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO. When Arizona recently enacted one of the most extreme immigration laws in the country, the Obama administration responded by MORE

City officials are rethinking how Santa Ana celebrates the Fourth of July after Minutemen and Tea Baggers in this year’s festival were caught on tape using the word “wetback” and worse to describe people in the mostly Latino crowd. The celebration was not sponsored by the city, but by the Friends of the Santa Ana Public Library and a nonprofit group that offers classes on the Constitution. One of the lead organizers was self hating latina and rabble rouser Lupe Moreno, a member of the library group and who is also a prominent anti-immigration activist who is in ass deep with the Minuteman Project. Moreno and her sister were speakers at a June 5 Tea Baggers rally in Phoenix to MORE

Pinal County Sheriff Babeu condones Neo Nazi J.T. Ready's Mexican hunting trip

Apparently, Pinal Sheriff Paul Babeu is giving the wink and a nod to Neo Nazi J.T. Ready’s “Border Ops” this weekend by claiming lack of resources to monitor the situation. At a press conference on June 11 in Casa Grande about suspected drug smugglers who were shot in the same general area where a Pinal County Sheriff’s deputy was shot on April 30, Sheriff Babeu said about this remote area of Pinal County, about 20 miles southwest of Casa Grande, “Drug cartels are in control,” Babeu said. “We don’t own that.” The Pinal County Sheriff’s office was contacted about Ready’s open incitement to come to the border and hunt Mexicans. Pinal County Sheriff’s Lt. Tamatha Villar said that they do MORE

Chris Simcox still on the run, being pursued by ex-Minuteman

TPM reports that the man who owns a bounty hunting firm tracking Minuteman founder Chris Simcox is himself a former Minuteman, one who has personal beef with Simcox. Fugitive Recovery Services, is owned by former border vigilante Stacey O’Connell who was booted from the group after fighting with Simcox. O’Connell was once the director of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps’ Arizona chapter. He left in 2007 after accusing the Minutemen of misusing and hiding finances, and he has called for a criminal investigation O’Connell said Simcox’s ex-wife hired him. Rumors have it there is more between O’Connell and Alena Simcox than just a business arrangement. Perhaps O’Connell could enlighten our readers on that rumor TPM goes on to quote O’Connell

Minuteman Chris Simcox allegedly threatens to kill family, cops

Phoenix New Times is reporting former minuteman leader and ex, self-described “senior advisor” for J.D. Hayworth’s U.S. Senate campaign Chris Simcox allegedly threatened to kill his wife and family according to a petition for an order of protection filed by his estranged spouse Alena Simcox. A Maricopa County court commissioner granted the petition April 16, and ordered the 49 year-old Simcox to remain 200 yards away from Alena, their two children, and Alena’s child from a previous relationship. The order prohibits Simcox from possessing, receiving, or purchasing firearms or ammunition. He was told to “surrender same” to the Scottsdale police within 24 hours of being served. Simcox, a close friend and confidant of ALIPAC President William Gheen seems to have MORE

Remembering Brisenia Flores - 1 year later

It seems people have forgotten the events that took the life of 9 year old Brisenia Flores and her father one year ago today, an event largely ignored by the media. At this hour, on this day, a group of American terrorists, calling themselves Minutemen American Defense, banged on the door of a residence in the 36000 block of Mesquite Road in Arivaca Arizona. Dressed in paramilitary camo and identifying themselves as law enforcement personnel, they demanded entry. The father, Raul, made the fatal mistake of questioning why one of the “officers” weapon was wrapped in electrical tape. He was shot in the chest, point blank four times while his 9 year old daughter watched in horror. Her final words MORE
