Another ALIPAC failure as NC College Board gives immigrants the nod

The North Carolina State Community College Board cast a final vote Friday to admit illegal immigrants at the 58 community college campuses. Illegal immigrants will have to pay out-of-state tuition, about $7,700 a year, and they can be removed from a class if it is full and a legal resident wants in. This measure has been opposed by ALIPAC’s William Gheen whose opposition to anything that would better the lives of Hispanics began in 2005 when he opposed HBl 1138, which would have allowed certain non-citizens to qualify for in-state tuition rates at publicly funded North Carolina colleges and universities. Another humiliating defeat for ALIPAC and William Gheen

ALIPAC’s William Gheen is in apparent seclusion tonight after his humiliation before the North Carolina Community College Board, which voted in September to allow undocumented immigrants to attend their 58 colleges.
