National Hispanic Group Calls for “Brisenia’s Law” To Fight Domestic Terrorism

For Immediate Release Phoenix, Arizona – We are pleased to hear that the Pima County jury convicted Shawna Forde today of two counts of first-degree murder in the May 30, 2009 deaths of Arivaca residents Raul Junior Flores and his 9-year-old daughter, Brisenia. As a result of the conviction, we are asking Congressman Peter King, Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, to conduct hearings and a thorough investigation on domestic terrorism by border vigilantes. It’s time for a congressional investigation into this epidemic of domestic terrorism by vigilantes along our border, to disarm the Minutemen, Nativists, and Neo-Nazis at the border.

Amid Apple’s much anticipated announcement this week that the Beatles catalog is now available on iTunes, NumbersUSA, an anti-immigrant organization that is part of a network with ties to white nationalists,has announced that an iPad/iPhone app of the same name was launched on November 9, 2010. NumbersUSA’s app has been approved by Apple and put onto its database for free download. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected arguments by nativist Sen. Russell Pearce, R-Mesa, that he has a “unique perspective” on SB 1070. Pearce, through his attorneys, said he wants a chance to convince the appellate judges that all provisions of the law are legal. Apparently, J.T. Ready’s little soiree in the desert was a success, in his mind at least, and in ours, since he was unsuccessful in killing any Mexicans as seemed to be his intent. He was hampered though by the media entourage that accompanied him as his small group attacked and secured an abandoned building within sight of Interstate 8, hardly the securing of the border he had in mind.
