Hate disguised as Patriotism - Former Anti Migrant Activist Confesses

Citizen Orange writes: You don’t need a hate barometer to understand that the anti-immigration movement is fraught with intolerance, hatred and in many cases racism. The anti-immigration activist puts themselves above all others in a sick narcissism veiled as patriotism. While patriotism can be a good thing it loses it’s flavor when the idea or thing becomes more important than the suffering and needs of others. Blurring the line between patriotism and racism makes it hard for some to see the difference

Patriotism used to be something that most Americans didn’t wear on their sleeves, not even military personnel. It was just a silent pride understood that everyone who lived in this country was patriotic by virtue of them either choosing to live here or having been born here.
