Ya’ll remember Pinal County Deputy Louie Puroll? He’s the “hero” deputy sheriff in Arizona who allegedly was wounded in a gun battle with “cartel members? When he finally decided to cooperate with investigators, Puroll the told investigators he was following a group of smugglers carrying bales of marijuana when he was ambushed by men firing AK-47 rifles about 50 miles south of Phoenix on April 30. In what Puroll described as a running gunbattle, he was grazed by a bullet in the back. ALIPAC President William Gheen is getting the media exposure he craves, but not in a good way, as he continues his attacks against Dan Smeriglio and other promoters of the June 5th event in Phoenix. As has been pointed out to me by colleagues, Dan Smeriglio, is not the innocent that Dan “Digger” Amato portrays him to be.

The anti-immigrant movement is an incestuous, backstabbing clan. So when such connections are made between various nativist organizations and Forde, they are hardly eye-popping. Neither are the reports of Forde’s contact with white supremacist organizations. If you were to do a Venn diagram of nativist and racist circles, there would be considerable overlap.
