Here’s a Tuesday morning yuck yuck courtesy of radio host/activist Carlos Galindo of Phoenix Arizona. In the video Mr Galindo confronts a “Tea Party Patriot”, sans teeth and sans any clue about what he is against, during a protest against SB-1070 outside the Mexican Consulate in Phoenix. They advertised it as “Taking America Back”, from whom, no one knows, but the highly touted anti immigrant rally in Phoenix, called “Phoenix Rising”, apparently was a dud. The organizers of Phoenix Rising jumped the gun when they proclaimed; This promises to be the largest rally in American history demanding that the states and federal government secure our borders and crack down on illegal immigration. Attendance was estimated to be between 700-1000 attendees, which fell way short of the thousands the organizers had expected. Some came armed, others just came. ALIPAC President William Gheen is getting the media exposure he craves, but not in a good way, as he continues his attacks against Dan Smeriglio and other promoters of the June 5th event in Phoenix. As has been pointed out to me by colleagues, Dan Smeriglio, is not the innocent that Dan “Digger” Amato portrays him to be.

What comes to mind reading the latest $199.00 press release from William Gheen of ALIPAC is Gheen’s comment to Jim Gilchrist several years ago. “If there wasn’t money to be made from the immigration debate, I’d have nothing to do with it” – William Gheen Now, Gheen has sent a pleading for his followers to “pass the hat” to finance his trip to Arizona next month for the “Sand Krackers Desert Shindig” to support SB-1070 and the other anti Hispanic measures coming fast and furious from the statehouse in Phoenix.
