Exactly how crazy are the nativists?

That is the question posed by our friend the Damned Mexican on his excellent site. We had a chance to make a difference by urging Williamson County Commissioners not to renew the contract with CCA operators of the gulag like Hutto Family Detention Center. Sadly, hip pocket politics won out over common sense. Texas Civil Rights Review, has an opinion piece on their site on the subject. As they said, Putting non-criminal families, including little children, in prison for infractions comparable to running a stop sign is immoral and un-American.
