This altered photo of President Obama shows the inherent racism rampant among the so called tea baggers and other extremist groups in todays society. This image was used in an email solicitation by the groups founder
To make their point, a photo showing the president as a stereotypical African-American pimp, sporting a pencil-thin mustache and a zebra-striped, fur-brimmed fedora, complete with a feather, accompanied the solicitation.
The email goes on to explain that Democrats still plan to pass health-care reform despite Scott Brown’s win in Massachusetts. It asks readers to send faxes to Congress, and to donate to TeaParty.org. And it contains an exhortatory quote from Robertson, identified as the group’s “President/Founder”: “I am greatly encouraged with the progress of the Tea Party, but our work has just begun!”
After a photograph emerged of Robertson holding a sign that referred to taxpayers as “niggars,” Houston Tea Party activists distanced themselves from him.
Tea Baggers losing credibility and support
A planned convention of Tea Bagger activists lost two prominent speakers Thursday, the latest sign of disagreement over how best to showcase the movement’s dwindling political force.
Republican Reps. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota and Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee canceled their appearances after being billed as speakers at the gathering next week in Nashville, Tenn.”Babbling Bimbo” Sarah Palin remains a headline speaker at the event.
Both Bachmann and Blackburn have been strong supporters of the Tea Baggers.
ALIPAC’s William Gheen Involvement
It’s not surprising that one of the most vitriolic anti-immigrant, anti Hispanic groups tries to involve themselves with the tea baggers. Remember late last year when Willy Gheen tried to highjack the focus of the teabaggers, and make it his own with his pathetic little gatherings against immigration reform? Less than 1000 people heeded his call to action in 50 locations. A week later, the Pro-Reform activists hosted more than 60,000 in more than 1000 locations to discuss the introduction of Luis Gutierrez CIR-ASAP bill.
Dale Robertson says what many of these so-called “Patriots” are thinking. It would seem we’re seeing an emergence of a polyester klan of astroturfers.
